President of the National Council of Educational Reform in
Romania (since January 1998);
Member of the Steering Committee of the World Bank Education
Reform Project in Romania (since 1995);
Member of the Education Committee of the Council of Europe,

Acting chair of the International Bureau of Education Council
(since January 1998);
President of the Council of Europe project "Education for
