A General Deposit is due upon the student's confirmation of acceptance
of a place of study at CEU. In addition to the "Methods of
Payment" listed in the Admissions Bulletin and the CEU website,
an on-line payment option is also available. Please click here
to go to the secure on-line payment form.
Further
down on this page, you can find out how much your
deposit will be, as well as specific instructions on how
to use the on-line payment form.
For students receiving financial aid from CEU, the general deposit is 100 EUR.
For students who have confirmed their place of study but do not enroll at the university, the General Deposit is not refundable after May 31. For students who enroll, the sum of 100 EUR is used as a damage deposit for the length of their study. The deposit will be refunded shortly before graduation or withdrawal from CEU as part of the leaving procedure, less any damage costs assessed or fees outstanding on the student’s account.
For students not receiving financial aid from CEU, the general deposit is 500 EUR. From this amount CEU will apply 400 EUR towards the first installment of tuition and fees due, and will retain the remaining 100 EUR as a damage deposit, which will be refunded upon completion of studies.
After
clicking the on-line payment link, a window will open in which the
second (or, for full fee-paying students, the third) line is "General
Admissions Deposit". In the space marked 'Quantity", enter
the number of persons on whose behalf you wish to pay the deposit
(naturally, in most cases it will be one). When you have entered
this number, click on "Continue Securely". If you computer
or server is unable to support a secure environment, or if you have
concerns about the security of online payment, we recommend you
pay by check or bank transfer.
After
clicking "continue securely", check that the figure under
"Grand total" on the top right is the amount you intend
to pay. Then fill in your details on this form and click continue.
Important!
On the next page there is a space for comments. In this space, please
enter the names of those people on whose behalf you are making the
payment (please make sure that the names are spelled exactly the
same way as on the application form!). There is no need to do this
if you are paying only your own deposit with your own card.
Please note that the on - line payment is possible only in USD, which means that the sum of 100 Euro equals 120 dollar and 500 Euro equals 600 dollar.
After
this, the remainder of the procedure should be clear. As soon as
the payment is processed, you will receive an e-mail confirming
the success of the payment.
The
dollar amount you have paid will be calculated in your local currency
by your bank at their current exchange rate. Your bank may possibly
levy exchange rate charges for this transaction. If you are unsure
about this, please consult your bank. Any such charges are payable
by you.
If
you have further questions, please feel free to contact us; otherwise,
please click here to
make the payment.
