CEU provides financial assistance to the majority of its students, ranging from a full CEU fellowship for Master’s and for doctoral students, to partial financial aid packages, including tuition waivers. CEU financial aid is awarded primarily on the basis of academic merit. Decisions on financial aid may also take into account priorities connected to the university’s mission and documented need.

For candidates who plan to apply for study grants from governmental sources, foundations or organizations, CEU will accept early applications and will aim to inform these candidates about their admissions status within the time frames needed for them to apply for such grants. Early applicants may also apply for CEU's financial aid program, but the university will not be able to inform them about their CEU financial aid status until the competitive review of all other candidates has been completed.

The CEU Business School has a separate Financial Aid Policy: while it does not offer fellowships, there is a limited number of partial tuition-fee waiver scholarships. Please see the CEU Business School website for its Financial Aid policy: http://www.ceubusiness.com.
