Ongoing activities

The report "Assessment of policy instruments for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from buildings" classified policy instruments according to theireffectiveness and cost-effectiveness in carrying out energy efficiency improvements and through this, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from buildings. Currently a Quick-scan tool is being developed to assist decision makers in creating policy packages from these instruments, that are most appropriate to their local context.

The Quick-scan tool is aimed to help decision makers in identifying their policy goals (in this way also assisting in pairing energy efficiency measures with priority areas of the government). It contributes to identifying barriers that they will face related to implementation of these measures, and the specific characteristics of the relevant jurisdiction/state/country that are related to energy efficiency policies.
