LINKS Global Reporting Initiative The GRI is a long-term, multi-stakeholder, international undertaking whose mission is to develop and disseminate globally applicable sustainability reporting guidelines for voluntary use by organizations reporting on the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of their activities, products, and services. International Finance Corporation The International Finance Corporation (IFC) promotes sustainable private sector investment in developing countries as a way to reduce poverty and improve people's lives. IFCs Environment and Social Development Department assists IFC to develop successful and sustainable projects with low environmental and social impacts. Addressing environmental and social issues from the outset of the investment process produces significant benefits on all fronts - environmental, social, and financial. For companies, these benefits include improved financial performance through better project design, more efficient resource use, lower operating costs, and improved relationships with local communities. Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy at Central European University trains a new generation of scientists, researchers, and professionals to meet the complex challenges presented by the state of the environment in the region - Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Corporate Social Responsibility Network is a unique consultancy organisation, with specialists from the fields of social accounting, environmental management, ethical trading, communications and sustainable development. MTR Corporation Limited, the subway company form Hong Kong has published its 2001 sustainabilty report following the GRI Guidelines.
