COURSE DESCRIPTION


The course first examines the nature of fundamental social rights and the legal framework and instruments of their protection in the various legal systems. The seminar will discover the protection of individuals before, during and after being on the labor market. Course themes will include the right of individuals to equal chances for entering professions at their choice, fro being protected as to the security and safety of their work and to being supported when unable to work either for health (age) or economic reason. European and North American approach to the topics will be surveyed with a comparative outlook to the Central and East European region.
