F. Gulcin OzkanProject Pursued within the Blue Bird F. Gulcin Ozkan is a Lecturer in Economics at the University of York. She received her Dphil from University on York in 1996. Her dissertation was entitled "Macroeconomic Policy games in Closed and Open Economies" She has been a Research Affiliate of CEPR since August 1997. Her research interests include international macroeconomics, currency crises, speculative attacks, exchange rate regimes, regime switches, political and partisan cycles and the political economy of reform. Her most important recent publications are "Who Wants an Independent Central Bank: Monetary Policy Making and Politics", The Scandinavian Journal of Economics, 2000; "A Currency Crisis Model with an Optimising Policy Maker", The Journal of International Economics (with Alan Sutherland), 1998; and "Partisan Business Cycles in a Model with Separate Fiscal and Monetary Authorities", The Manchester School, 1998. She is on the Editorial Board of The Central Bank Review published by the Central Bank of Turkey. |
