Ilian MihovPersonal HomepageProject Pursued within the Blue Bird Project Proposal Progress Report (December 2001) Progress Report (June 2002) Progress Report (December 2002) Ilian Mihov is an Associate Professor of Economics at the European Institute for Business Administration, INSEAD, in France and a Research Affiliate at the Center for Economic Policy Research in London. He holds a PhD in Economics from Princeton University. His research interests are in the fields of monetary economics, general macroeconomics, international economics, econometrics and transition economics. He has several publications on monetary policy including the widely cited papers on measuring the stance of monetary policy and targeting procedures of the Bundesbank. The other strand of his research is on the macroeconomic effects of fiscal policy and the impact of government size on business cycles. His most recent publications include"Deflation and Monetary Contraction in the Great Depression: An Analysis by Simple Ratios," joint paper with Ben Bernanke, in Essays on the Great Depression, Princeton University Press, 2000; "The Economic Transition in Bulgaria, 1989-1999," forthcoming in Transition: The First Decade, Mario Blejer and Marko Skreb (eds); and "Government Size and Automatic Stabilizers: International and Intranational Evidence," joint paper with Antonio Fatas, The Journal of International Economics (forthcoming). |
