Andrea KrizsanAndrea Krizsan is researcher and administrative coordinator for the Blue
Bird project at the Center for Policy Studies, Central European University,
Budapest. She has recently (November 2001) defended her Ph.D. in Political
Science at the CEU. Her dissertation was titled: The Hungarian Minority
Parliamentary Commissioner and the Anti-Discrimination Principle.
She holds an MA in Sociology from the Eötvös Loránd University,
Budapest, specialization ethnic and minority studies, and an MA in Political
Science from the CEU. She has conducted research at the Center for Research
on Ethnic Relations at the University of Warwick (in 1999) and at the
Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, New York (1999-2000). She has
published (in Hungarian and English) on minority policy, ethnic monitoring,
and on specialized, ombudsman like, bodies for the enforcement of anti-discrimination
law and policies. She is the editor and contributor to the first CPS publication
Ethnic Monitoring and Data Protection. The European Context. (published
in Fall 2001). She has worked in several human rights and minority rights
related international projects and recently as coordinator of the CEU-CPS
- University of Warwick international conference "Reshaping Globalization:
Multilateral Dialogues and New Policy Initiatives" held in October
2001. She is co-editor of the CPS book being prepared from the presentations
of the globalization conference, forthcoming in September 2002. |
