Georgy Ganev is a Program Director at Centre for Liberal Strategies, Sofia, Bulgaria. He holds a PhD in economics from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, received in 1997. He is a visiting faculty member of Department of Economics at Sofia University "Str. Kliment Ohridski" where he teaches courses enentitled "Money, Banking, and Financial Markets" and "New Institutional Economics". He is the author of "Corruption and economic development in Bulgaria", in Corruption in contemporary Bulgaria: Analytical overview, Transparency International – Bulgaria, Association "Transparency without borders", Sofia, 1998 and the co-author of "Bulgaria in its regional context: an analysis of risk scenarios", Centre for Liberal Strategies, Sofia, September 1997.
